The PinkCrow Diary

The Pinkcrow Diary

Every entry on pinkcrow.net starts the same unglamorous way: a blank page and a claim nobody’s checked yet.

This is the log of how we get from there to something you can actually rely on — a brawler’s kit checked against the live season, an AI tool’s pricing reconfirmed the day we publish, an internal link pulled from our real sitemap instead of guessed. It’s not a mission statement. It’s just how the work happens, entry by entry.

Entry 001 — TL;DR

How we actually work, in five lines

WhatHow we do it
SourcingGuides are rebuilt from current research every time — we don’t patch old copy, we start over.
Fact-checkingEvery brief gets measured against the live game or product state before a word is written.
StructureDefinition-first sentences, consistent bold terms, and FAQ blocks built for featured snippets and AI answer engines.
LinkingInternal links come only from our live sitemap. No invented slugs, ever.
FlaggingWhen a source is shaky or a detail is hard to pin down, we say so in the article — not after it.
Entry 002 — The process

Six steps, same order, every time

Nothing here is exotic. It’s a checklist we don’t skip, which turns out to be the hard part.

Step 01

Topic lands

A brawler, a tool, a tier list — named, not assumed.

Step 02

Brief gets checked

Whatever’s in the brief gets weighed against current reality first, not taken on faith.

Step 03

Fresh research

Current season, current pricing, current meta — never last year’s article text.

Step 04

Draft & structure

Definition-first sentences, bold key terms, a TL;DR up top, an FAQ block built to be quoted.

Step 05

Link & flag

Internal links matched to the live sitemap. Shaky sources get a visible callout, not a shrug.

Step 06

Ship

A scoped, drop-in-ready page. No revision loop, because the checking already happened.

Entry 003 — What we verify

The claims we don’t take on faith

Claim in the briefHow we verify it
A brawler’s kit or HyperchargeChecked against the current in-game season — not the brief’s memory of an earlier balance patch.
An AI tool’s pricing tierRe-searched the day of writing, because pricing pages shift faster than briefs get updated.
An internal linkMatched against pinkcrow.net’s live sitemap. If the slug isn’t real, the link doesn’t go in.
A “best” or “top” rankingCross-checked against current tier and meta data, not carried over from a previous list.
Entry 004 — What it looks like on the site

Same process, four different shelves

Brawl Stars guides

Build guides rebuilt from scratch against the live season — never edited from old copy.

AI tool reviews

Academic and developer tools, with pricing and features re-checked at write time.

Tier lists

Rankings cross-checked against current meta data before a single tier is assigned.

Unblocked games

Coverage kept current with heavy, real internal linking — nothing invented to pad a section.

Entry 005 — FAQ

Questions readers actually ask us

Do you edit old articles, or start over?

We rebuild from scratch using current research. Older pinkcrow.net pages get replaced with a fresh pass rather than patched line by line, so nothing outdated carries forward by accident.

What happens when a source is unreliable or hard to confirm?

We build a visible callout into the article itself, telling readers exactly what’s uncertain and pointing them to verify it externally, instead of quietly presenting a shaky detail as settled fact.

Where do your internal links come from?

Only from pinkcrow.net’s live sitemap. If a page doesn’t actually exist, it doesn’t get linked — no invented slugs, no placeholder URLs.

Why is everything structured with a TL;DR and FAQ block?

Definition-first sentences and consistent bold terms make articles easier to scan for a human and easier for AI answer engines to quote accurately — both readers get the same accurate summary.

Who’s actually writing this stuff?

A small in-house editorial process, plus contributors credited by byline where they wrote the piece. The process in this diary applies regardless of whose name is on the article.

The short version

Nothing on pinkcrow.net gets published on memory alone. Every guide, review, and tier list goes through the same six-step log — checked, sourced, linked, and flagged where it needs to be — before it ever reaches a reader.
